In this blog I am spotlighting a young woman by the name of Teai Warner who is extremely talented in capturing who You are to elevate your online presence. I have had the opportunity to work with Teai multiple times. Each time she has truly captured the fun and excitement I have when working with children through each beautiful picture. I recommend everyone to take a few minutes to read all about this lovely young lady.
1.) Tell me your name and a little bit about yourself professionally and personally (like what you enjoy doing when you’re not working)?
My name is Teai Warner (pronounced like Tia). I’m a full-time marketer for a digital marketing agency and a part-time personal branding photographer for women entrepreneurs and creatives. I love spending time with my one year old German shepherd pup when I’m not working. I also enjoy cooking and spending time with family.
2.) Where do you work and/or your company name?
My photography business is called Teai Marie Photography.
3.) What is your role?
I am the owner and lead photographer.
4.) How long have you been in this role?
I have been a photographer for years, but I have been in business for the last 2 ½ years.
5.) What type of skills are important and required for a person to have in your role?
For me, and every business owner is different, but I value being detail-oriented, organized, having effective and clear communication and an artistic eye.
6.) Please tell the readers something they would be surprised to know about you?
I have a masters degree in business psychology! I rely heavily on my education and marketing career to help my clients.
7.) What’s a typical day or week for you at your job?
My weeks are usually very busy. I work remotely from 9-5, and then I usually have 1-3 sessions a week. I am either taking client calls, editing or having actual sessions. If I have a chance to relax, I’m lying in bed with my dog watching survivor.
8.) What are some of the challenges of your role?
It is hard to keep a good balance of rest in my life. Working 9-5 on top of running a business—it’s hard to have time off or catch your breath.
9.) What are the rewards?
I love getting to know all my clients and watching their businesses and passions grow! It’s so rewarding helping other women show off what they do.
10.) What would you recommend to someone who is considering going into a role like yours? Or something you wish you could tell your younger self when you first started out into the business?
Learn how to set boundaries! Something I’m still learning. It’s important for your health and business..
11.) Do you have any words of wisdom for the readers?
Don’t be afraid to go for what you want. It sounds cliche, but you’ll never know what you’re capable of if you don’t try.

I offer photography branding sessions for women entrepreneurs, creatives and service providers.
13.) What is next for you?
I am going to continue honing my craft and becoming the best photographer and service provider I can be to my clients.
